9. What is the best etiquette for working on a team?

Like all social situations, collaborating as a team works best when we all observe a few simple rules:

  1. Always respect your teammates, disagree politely, and never make personal attacks.
  2. Each of you should go out of your way to encourage the other team members to share with and challenge each other.
  3. Always ask for clarification before assuming the worst.
  4. All team members are encouraged to edit the team's answers to improve them - but not to change their meaning.
  5. If you disagree with an answer, add your own answer instead of changing an existing one.
  6. If an earlier author overrides your edits, please post a new answer; don't fight over an existing one by re-editing each other.
